- 4What is Spearman's Two Factor Theory? It is Spearman's 1927 view on specific intelligence (s), and general intelligence (g). Your general intelligence is viewed as your core, innate intelligence and your specific intelligence is specific subjects and skills you learn through education and experience.
- 5What is Cattell's multi-factor theory?Cattell was highly influenced by Spearman's GS theory, but decided that instead of G being one thing, it was split into 2. One being fluid intelligence, and the other being crystallised intelligence. The most important thing was how they interacted with one another. Your Gf was still your innate ability to learn, but the amount you had can be increased through investment. This investment could be school or life experiences, and these work to mould your crystallised intelligence.
