1Piaget believed that if an object is removed, an infant under 6 months would believe it no longer exists.Object performance.
The understanding that when an object is out of sight, it still exists.
2Piaget used detailed observations of a few children which allowed for comparisons to be made between the behaviors of children at different ages.As it was a small sample size, may not be able to be applied to all children.
3Criticism of Piaget's study is that infants were not able to co-ordinate the actions required to move the cloth.Bower et al used a toy train going around a track and then disappearing behind a screen. The children followed the expected track with their eyes.
