TYPES OF COMPUTERS

1. MAINFRAMES COMPUTERS

   • ADVANTAGES
     • -They have very fast processor speed
       • -They can support multiple perating system
         • -They have huge amount of storage capacity.
   • DISADVANTAGES
     • -They are not portable
       • -They use a lot of energy.

2. PC/DESKTOP COMPUTER

   • ADVANTAGES
     • -Spare parts and collections tend to be standarised, wich usually results in lower costs.
       • -Have lots of memoty space, so it have fast processors
         • -It doesnt have a battery because it have wires
   • DISADVANTAGES
     • -It have a large footprint and it is large and heavy
       • -It requieres a separated monitor
         • -It is not portable, it means that you cant carry it from one place to another

3. SMARTPHONES

   • ADVANTAGES
     • -.Having a smartphone makes it much more convenient to check your email, social media or even you bank account while on the go.
       • -Can be taken anywhere regardless of anything since it has a very favorable size
         • -This has many utilities that can not be used in a PC or on a laptop. It is also very easy to use.
   • DISADVANTAGES
     • -Storage can be a problem. Smartphones are small so there isn’t space for a huge, built-in hard drive.
       • -Is so small that sometimes it is complicated to use it, especially when you want to use the keyboard because if it is tactile or not it is still very uncomfortable due to the size of the keys compared to a laptop or PC.
         • -they are very expensive compared to other electronic devices, since every year new models come out with better and better things

4. LABTOP

   • ADVANTAGES
     • -It's portable as well as cellular but better
       • -The battery lasts long due to the great capacity that it has
         • -In terms of external peripherals, from printers to external hard drives, anything that connects to a desktop computer can also connect to a laptop.
   • DISADVANTAGES
     • -Although they are portable it is very difficult to use them in certain places
       • -the mouse pad is very uncomfortable to use
         • sometimes it can be very slow compared to a pc because the pc has a much more powerful power source
