Computer Assembly

1. Casing

   • Anti-static mat
     • Anti-static Wristband
   • Tool Kits
   • Clean surface
   • No magnetic screwdrivers

2. Install the power supply

   • All unplugged
   • Install the power supply into the case
   • Align the screw holes with the crew holes on the case
   • Secure the power supply into the case with the correct screws

3. Motherboard Installation

   • CPU
     • Align the CPU with the CPU slot
     • Place CPU into slot gently
     • close the latch and apply the thermal compound the the top of the CPU
       • apply the heat sink fan on top of the CPU and secure with correct screws
   • RAM
     • place the RAM into the RAM slot
     • Make sure that the side locks are locked into place
     • Check for exposed contacts
   • place motherboard inside the casing and secure with the correct screws

4. Installing Drives

   • Position HDD into the 8.9cm drive bay opening
   • Insert the HDD so the screw holes line up with the casing
   • Secure the HDD to the case with the correct screws

5. Adapter Cards

   • PCIe x1 NIC
   • PCI wireless NIC
   • PCIe x16 video adapter card

6. Install the power connections

   • 20-pin ATX connecter
   • 4-pin AUX
   • SATA power connecters
   • Molex power connecters
   • Berg power connecters
   • PATA data connecters
   • SATA data connecters
