2. Clock Speed

   • Measured in GHz
   • Fetches,Decodes,Executes instructions
   • Processes instructions
   • How does it make your computer run faster ?
   • GHz = 1,000,000,000
   • What?
     • One instruction per second
   • Why?
     • Devices runs slowly
     • Current processor to slow
   • How?
     • Software games should run smoothly
     • Can process more instructions per second so programs will load and run faster

3. Cores

   • A prosessing core is an individual prosesser within a cpu
   • cpu can have more than one core
     • it can also be just one
   • the individual units became known as cores
