Computer Preformance
Clock speed
- The clock speed is the part that does the fetch, decode, execute cycle so that the computer runs
- the better the better clock speed, the faster things will load
- if you have a lot of clock speed your computer will run smoother and have barely any lag
Cache
- it's the first place the CPU goes for instructions and looks for it first but there isn't much
- it has these instructions built in to the cache if it's in the website but there is very little
- the more cache you have, the more the computer will do the fetch part of the cycle faster
Cores
- this part of the CPU is where the fetch decode execute cycle or clock speed is located
- increase the amount of cores and you get what you want, faster clock speed
- if there is more cores, the clock speed will go faster meaning there will be more fetch decode execute cycles a second
RAM
- it's the second place the CPU goes for instructions this is cheaper and has more volatile storage than the cache at the cost of being slower
- increase the amount of RAM or change it and it may go faster and hold more
- If there is more RAM, there is much more programs that can be stored and used at the same time and everything could load faster
