RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
It provides a series of theoretical-practical tools for solving problems using the scientific method. It can be conceptualized as a support discipline for the other subjects that make up the curriculum of the various professional careers.
- What is a research project?
- It is defined as the conception of basic thought or idea and the planning necessary to carry out research work on a particular phenomenon or aspect. It is elaborated by means of the following aspects
- The selection of the topic
- We understand as a topic the central issue that is tried to know through research.
- Delimitation of the topic
- it indicates more clearly that we are going to investigate.
- Statement of the problem
- a research problem arises from real situations that do not yet have a known solution, that are not fully solved or that do not work correctly.
- Research framework
- It is a set of references that a researcher has to adopt a scientific position or current that allows them to support and justify the problem of the research carried out. The theoretical framework answers the question: what antecedents on the subject of your research project exist?
- Theoretical Framework: Theoretical foundation within which the research is framed
- Conceptual Framework: Definition of relevant concepts used in the study
- Legal Framework (sometimes): legal aspects that frame the study to be carried out.
- Historical Setting (Sometimes): historical location of the study
- Legal Framework (sometimes): legal aspects that frame the study to be carried out.
- Conceptual Framework: Definition of relevant concepts used in the study
- Theoretical Framework: Theoretical foundation within which the research is framed
- It is a set of references that a researcher has to adopt a scientific position or current that allows them to support and justify the problem of the research carried out. The theoretical framework answers the question: what antecedents on the subject of your research project exist?
- Research justification
- is the action of convincingly supporting or supporting a research proposal. Its delimitation can be Spatial, geographic, Chronological and Sociodemographic.
- Hypothesis
- It is the explanation or tentative solution of the problem that is the subject of investigation. There are three classes: research or null, alternate or methodological
- Objectives
- They are defined as the purposes pursued by an investigation, they are the results that are expected to be obtained upon completion of the work. They can be of two types
- General: They indicate the broader purpose of the research and are written in a manner consistent with the approach of the research problem
- Individuals: They are alternate objectives that are set to achieve the general objective
- General: They indicate the broader purpose of the research and are written in a manner consistent with the approach of the research problem
- They are defined as the purposes pursued by an investigation, they are the results that are expected to be obtained upon completion of the work. They can be of two types
- Selection of Methodology
- It is the stage in which the researcher takes a position regarding the different methods and methodological approach and based on them, the choice of techniques and useful instruments to collect the information
- Research Conclusions
- they are drawn up in relation to the objectives set within an investigation. These are concrete reports that give relevance to important aspects of the job.
- The selection of the topic
- It is defined as the conception of basic thought or idea and the planning necessary to carry out research work on a particular phenomenon or aspect. It is elaborated by means of the following aspects
- What is a research project?
Type of Scientific Research
- The researcher defines the type or level of research to be carried out.
- Types
- Historical: Analyzes events from the past and seeks to relate them to others of the present
- Documentary: analyzes written information on the Subject of Study
- Descriptive: Outline features, qualities or attributes of the Population under Study
- Correlational: It measures the degree of relationship between the variables of the Study Population.
- Explanatory: Give reasons why the phenomena
- Case study: Analyze a specific unit of a Population Universe
- Sectional: Collect information from the Study Object in a unique opportunity
- Longitudinal: Compares data obtained at different opportunities or times from the same population in order to assess changes
- Experimental: analyzes the effect produced by the action or manipulation of one or more independent variables on one or more dependents
- Types
- The researcher defines the type or level of research to be carried out.
