Microprocessors

Microprocessors

1. It is an electronic circuit that acts as a Central Processing Unit

   • made up of millions of integrated transistors
     • in charge
       • calculation operations
       • control what happens on the computer

2. parts

   • arithmetic and logic unit
   • Records
   • Control unit
   • Internal bus
   • Cache memory

3. advantage

   • low cost
     • available at low cost thanks to integrated circuit technology
   • High speed
     • they can work at very high speed thanks to the technology used in them
   • Small size
     • it is manufactured with a very small surface size
   • Low energy consumption
     • are generally manufactured using complementary metal oxide semiconductor technology
