1. Sentence adverbs

   • Sentence adverbs modify the sentence
   • When at the beginning or end of the sentence, it goes between commas.
   • Before other verbs.

2. Focus adverbs

   • Focus adverbs modify any single word in the sentence.
   • Be careful with the order because it changes the meaning.

3. Negative adverbs

   • When it is in the middle of the sentence or at the end, the sentence doesn’t change its structure.
   • If it is at the beginning (formal) the structure changes with the auxiliary verb at the beginning.

4. Starters

   • Clearly, I am against abortion.
     • Just Tom is coming to the party.
       • I have never met such well-behaved children before.
         • It is essentially freedom.
