    • Reported questions are one form of reported speech. We usually introduce reported questions with the verb "ask".
      • They have the same tense and word changes as reported statements.
        • After we report a question, it is no longer a question. The word order is subject-verb-object.
          • Examples

  5. Reported Commands and Requests

    • When we report commands and requests, we change the imperative to a full infinitive.
      • We use to + infinitive
        • Tell: to report commands
          • Ask: to report requests
      • Not + to + infinitive
