Object oriented programming vs Object -Based Programming
It must be remembered that any system developed in OOP methodology , must meet at least the following characteristics:
- • The system has been designed , clearly identifying the relevant class and hierarchy. • Using polymorphism • Clear definition in each class of its methods • Encapsulation of information • Modularization • Exceptions and Concurrency • Partnership Objects
USING OBJECT-ORIENTED PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE C
- Although we had already indicated that the C language is not strictly oriented OOP language , you can follow certain rules , to be used strictly under this methodology .
- Class Definitions
- The concept of class does not exist as such in C. For this you can use the data type structure ( struct) mechanism to define and encapsulate all the information relating to it , ie , data members and methods.
- heritage
- Inheritance in C , is implemented by referencing the upper structure in the structure derived . Importantly, when inheritance is multiple references to the upper classes are solved in the same way .
- Resolution Methods
- The methods inherent in a class are implemented by declaring them within the structure (class ) to which they belong , allowing them to be resolved at compile time
- associations
- Implementing association relationships between classes or objects thereof, are performed , except JAVA , in the same way as in most OOP languages oriented : using pointers
- Object Creation and Destruction
- The creation and destruction of objects is resolved at compile time , explicitly using the malloc () and free () respectively
- templates
- Reducing code duplication mechanism that is already inherent in languages of POO area through the use for example of templates ( template ) in C ++ or generics (generic) ADA in C can be implemented using macros , with to not use types, which is the only obstacle in the area not own OOP languages
- Class Definitions
- Although we had already indicated that the C language is not strictly oriented OOP language , you can follow certain rules , to be used strictly under this methodology .
