     • No parallel development

2. Incremental

   • each increment - part of functionality
   • Cheap to change
   • Good for customer feedback
   • Fast delivery and deployment

3. Formal Systems

   • requirements in maths
   • defect free

4. Reuse orientated

   • reduces costs
   • very fast delivery
   • not good for change
