Molluscs
General characteristics
- They are celomados metazoos, with a soft body, not segmented. Typically they have bilateral symmetry, although sometimes some lose it by experiencing their body a spiral winding or by the different development of the parts: a head (all less the Bivalves), a visceral mass covered by a retraction of the wall of the body called mantle, which forms a shell protective and leaves a cavity around the body called pallial cavity, and a muscular organ, the foot.
