   • allows people to point out injustice and not be revealed as whistleblowers
     • E.g people who know about terrorist attacks or rape
   • allows people to say socially unacceptable that may be illegal in their country
     • e.g coming out as homosexual, speaking out against laws
   • people can pretend to be others and gain information from you
     • e.g hackers pretending to be automatic bank concerns
   • spammers can send emails to a lot of people without receiving complaints
   • The government can track all your internet usage so your privacy is not protected

2. Social Media

   • can interact with people across the world
   • can share information with others for work
   • government can release updates on policies or concerns to everyone
   • can track missing people or criminals
   • can find information about possible students/employees/friends
   • False information and news can be spread easily
   • can negatively impact by distracting people from work or chores
   • can make people isolated by spending too much time on it

3. Health

   • doctors can keep up to date with medical journals
   • scanning equipment and new technologies can be produced to help remove diseases or help them
   • modelling techniques and programs can predict many things
   • can 're-wire' the brrain to become addicted
     • reduces attention span
     • increases need for instant gratification
   • increases chances of phisical ailments
     • stress
     • back pain
     • headaches
     • eye-strain

4. Journalism

   • anyone can speak their mind or report events via blogs
   • difficult to compete with free alternative media so newspapers have to increase the quality
   • lower production costs as everything is on a screen
   • higher response to current events as it is easy to learn about what happens each day in the world
   • isn't limited by the corporation, more individual opinion

5. Viral Videos

   • Memes
     • draws attention from many people
       • people can become celebrities overnight but not for long
       • issues touched upon can encourage discussion in political spheres
       • advertising companies try to advertise products for free
   • politicians' image can be negatively or positively changed
