File management

1. Have a main folder with lots of sub-folders inside

2. The pathway name for a file is structured like this: Main folder\sub folders\file name

3. You can save files on the cloud

   • One downside to this is you have to trust the cloud worker to keep your files secure
   • Another downside is that if your computer crashes, you've lost your files

4. A word document is .docx. A powerpoint is .ppt

   • These are file name abbreviations -or extensions. Other abbreviations: Photo: .png, .gif or .jpg  Access database: .accdb Executable file: .exe Word: .doc .docx Video: .mov .mp4 .mpeg Spreadsheet: .xls

   • Windows key and e
   • Start menu. Click file explorer. Or search "file explorer" and it should appear.
