Elements of a computer system
Computer: a device for storing and processing data.
Peripheral: device that is connected to the computer. e.g.- headphones,keyboard and mouse.
Input: it is things like touch screen,keyboard and mouse which put information into a computer.
Output: any information that has been processed by and sent out from the computer is an output.
Storage device: a storage device is used permanently to store data.
Hardware: all the physical components of a computer. It can also be objects that you a touch, like a music CD.
Software: you cannot touch software.Software refers to the programs that run on a computer. e.g.-MS word, excel.
INPUT-PROCESS-OUTPUT
A sensor is a input device that detects and responds to some type of input from the physical environment. For example a smoke sensor.
