EGYPT

  1. Egypt is a country that connects Northeast Africa with the Middle East, given in the period of the Pharaohs. It has millennia-old monuments located along the fertile Nile River Valley, including the colossal Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx, as well as the tombs of the Valley of the Kings and the hieroglyph-lined Karnak Temple in Luxor. In the capital Cairo, there are Ottoman monuments, such as the Mosque of Muhammad Ali and the Egyptian Museum, a treasure trove of antiquities.

  2. Ancient Egypt was an agricultural civilization of ancient times, which originated along the middle and lower reaches of the Nile River, whose history spans more than three millennia. This civilization is considered one of the most important of Humanity.

  3. AGRICULTURE: Agriculture was linked to the rise of the Nile and the silt deposited on the ground, turning it into a green and fertile blanket. They mainly grew cereals (barley, wheat), legumes and vegetables (leeks, lettuce, onions, garlic, cucumbers, radishes, beans, chickpeas) fruits (melons, grapes, dates, figs).

  4. MEDICINE: Medicine was free and linked to the temples. For them, the practice of medicine was totally steeped in religion, they practically wielded magic. They depended on the goddess Sekhmet, the goddess of healing. These were the physicians of Pharaoh, the god of the earth. The exorcist doctors, who healed with spells and amulets.

  5. GODS: Ra: Was one of the most important gods for the Egyptians since he was the one who gave light every day. His representation was a falcon's head along with a solar disk. Every night he traveled 12 hours from east to west, through the 12 regions of the Duat inhabited by monsters that tried to stop the night and make it eternal. Thot: He was the god of writing and calculations. Ra placed him in the sky to illuminate him after his retreat, turning him into a god of the moon. All these characteristics gave him the power to measure time and calendars and to be the one who ended with the birth of Osiris, Seth, Horus the Elder, Isis and Nephthys in "five new days". Mutt: She was considered the mother, the origin of everything that exists. It was always placed between the sun and the moon, like a third eye showing cosmic perfection. It was one of the statuettes in front of which a few words were said when someone died, so that it would not decompose. Isis: She was the Queen of the goddesse

  6. Egyptian symbols Egyptian symbols were used during different periods of Egyptian civilization to represent all kinds of concepts and ideas from their mythology. Many of these symbols were related to some Egyptian god. The Egyptians used these symbols to decorate their temples, to represent their gods in their inscriptions, and to make amulets to cope with difficulties. Cross cross or Anj (Ankh) Known is an Egyptian hieroglyph that symbolizes eternal life. This is one of the hieroglyphs that most appears both in Egyptian texts and art, always in relation to the gods. The Egyptians believed that the gods had dominion over eternal life. For this reason, the representations of their gods with the Ankh symbolized their power over life and death. They made mirrors in the shape of Ankh to represent the mutual reflection between life and death. The Eye of Horus, also known as Udyat, is related to good health and protection.
