Ayah1
1. All the praises and thanks be to Allah, who has sent down to His Slave, the Book, and has not placed therein any crookedness
  1. Al Hamd
    1. Only used for Allah
    2. something huge and great status out of love and exultation because of His Perfection
  2. 'Abdi
    1. Worshipper, slave
    2. used in 3 cases in Quran
      1. Allah describes Revelation of Quran to Prophet
      2. Allah defends Prophet (2:23)
      3. Allah describes Isra wa Mi'raj (17:1)
        The Prophet's Highest Station
  3. Kitab
    1. One of names of Quran
    2. meaning : to write or something collected
  4. Crookedness: IWAJA
    1. MUST be separated from the next word : QAYIMMA
      1. to show 2 distinct characteristics
        there is NO crookedness
        No lies
        No injustices
        Nothing is without a purpose
      2. It is QAYIMMA : upright and straight
        It is MUQEEM : causes others to become upright and straight
        HE commands with the most exalted commands&prohibitions
        Fill our hearts with knowledge and eeman
        Commandments Purify and cleanse the heart
Ayah 2
1. (He has made it) straight to give warning (to disbelievers) of a severe punishment from Him, and to give glad tidings to the believers, who do righteous deeds that they shall have a fair reward
  1. REASON for reveleation of Quran
    1. To warn of a severe punishment
      1. Punishment in Dunya And Akhirah
    2. to give glad tidings to believers
      1. BUSHRA
  2. Righteous deeds
    1. Ikhlas
      1. To seek His Face on DOJ
    2. Ittb'aa
      1. According to Shariah
  3. Reward is HASAN
    1. Successfully Attaining Allah's Pleasure and Entrance in Jannah
    2. Reward is AJR and not Thawaab
      1. Reward is GUARANTEED
  4. QURAN contains DEEDS that will lead to these glad tidings
Ayah 3
1. They shall abide there in forever
  1. constantly in INCREASING Bliss
Ayah 4
1. And to warn those who say "Allah has begotten a son"
  1. To warn the Christians , the Jews and Arab pagans
Ayah 5
1. No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Mighty is the word that comes out of their mouths. They utter nothing but a lie.
  1. 1. They made this claim out of IGNORANCE
  2. IT COMES out of their mouth,in present tense as theu are still insisting on it
  3. 2. Nothing more horrendous than this statement.
  4. 3. It is a lie
    1. Surah Maryam (19: 90-92)
