Probabilities

  1. Definition: the quality or state of being probable; the extent to which something is likely to happen or be the case.

    • Experimental Probability: Experimental probability is the actual result of an experiment, which may be different from theoretical probability. For example, you conduct an experiment where you flip a coin 100 times. The theoretical probability is 50% heads, 50% tails. The actual outcome of your experiment maybe 47 heads, 53 tails.
      • Theoretical Probability: Theoretical probability is the probability that is determined on the basis of reasoning. Experimental probability is the probability that is determined on the basis of the results of an experiment repeated many times. Probability is a value between (and including) zero and one.
        • Application in real life: So these are some examples of application in real life, weather forecasts, Sports Strategies, Insurance Options, Games and Recreational Activities, Making Business.
