Main Components

1. A CPU is the brain of the computer, it converts binary into stuff we understand and visa-versa

2. The Motherboard is the component that connects all the components together

3. The Hard Drive is the device that stores all of the data that needs to be saved for after the computer has been turned off

   • The CPU Cooler Is the component that cools the CPU

4. RAM or Random Access Memory is a temporary storage for data whilst the computer is on

5. The Graphics Card is the component that converts data into video that we can read and understand

6. ROM or Read Only Memory is all of the boot-up information that is shown when a computer starts up. This info is never lost

7. The Power Supply is the component that converts the high voltage electricity from the wall into usable power

8. The DVD Drive is the device that takes a CD and moves the memory to the monitor
