  1. General Intelligence

    • viewed as the general idea that if a person is intelligent in one thing, then they are also intelligent in most other things as well (Grison & Gazzaniga, 2019)
      • This is an intelligence category that I fall into regarding sports
        • Not saying that I am great at every sport, but the IQ level of playing a team sport from experience, helps in adapting to other team sports, and then all the other aspects will come eventually
    • Charles Spearman (1904)
      • said that general intelligence yields higher IQ scores (Grison & Gazzaniga, 2019)

    • John Mayer
    • managing emotions, using them to guide thoughts and actions, recognizing other people's emotions, and understanding emotional language (InstructionalDesign.org, 2018)
      • The one section of this intelligence that I find most difficult, is recognizing other people's emotions and then trying to respond accordingly in the best way possible with out making anything worse
  5. Fluid and Crystallized Intelligence

    • Raymond Cattell (1971)
      • said that general intelligence consists of two types of intelligence (InstructionalDesign.org, 2018)
        • Fluid Intelligence (working memory)
          • Informational processing, mostly in new and complex circumstances, which includes reasoning, analogies, flexibility and thinking quickly (InstructionalDesign.org, 2018)
        • Crystallized Intelligence (long-term memory)
          • Knowledge that is gained through experience and using that knowledge to solve problems (InstructionalDesign.org, 2018)
