Ideas for Story
- Adventure
- An adventure game is where the player goes on an adventure to any location while meeting and doing stuff along the way
- Space
- Ocean
- Cave

- Track Player Name
- name = Input "What is your mame"
- output "welcome name"
- name = Input "What is your mame"
- Incorrect Options
- You have crashed! Retry?
- Detect if crashed or wrong option like in space it would be rocket exploded or something

Existing Text Based Adventure Games
- Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy
- Based of the book and movie called hitch hikers guide to the galaxy where it is about this guy who is in his house and goes on an adventure
- It is a good game with lots of interactive choices
- it is hard to understand the controls and you die alot

- Forests of Lyrica
- Forests of Lyrica is a game about an adventure in the Forests of Lyrica
- Forest of Lyrica is an adventure game where you are in the forests of Lyrica
- It is pretty fun and overall, a good python game

Self-Determined Critera
- The game must have aesthetic features
- Must have ASCII art in it
- Must look cool and match what the image is supposed to be
- The ANCII art must help visualize what is happening in the game
- The game must be entertaining while keeping a fun story involved.
- The game has different stages of the story
- The game must be fun and not repetitive
- the game should have fun options to keep the player entertained, for example a core gameplay loop
- The game must have aesthetic features
Prescribed Criteria
- You must use variables that match your storyline
- Every variable must have something to do with the storyline
- You must use a WHILE loop
- Beginning of game. STARTs the game.
- You must have at least two choices for each input (IE. Yes | No, Left | Right, Buy | Sell)
- The choices can include different actions.
- The choices must have different outcomes
- Your story must have at least 10 different variables in total
- The 10 different variables will help my user either win or lose the game
- Every variable I used in my game must doing what they are intended to do
- My story has over 10 variables that all have a different function
- You must use variables that match your storyline
Algorithm Constructs
- Moduralisation
- Modularization is the practice of breaking a complex system into smaller, self-contained units (called modules) that can be designed, built, tested, and replaced independently. Each module handles a specific function and connects to other modules through standardized interfaces. This principle applies everywhere from software and manufacturing to biology, and it’s one of the most powerful strategies for managing complexity at scale.

- Iteration
- When designing programs, there may be some instructions that need repeating. This is known as iteration, and is implemented in programming using FOR and WHILE statements.

- Assignment
- Assignment operators in programming are symbols used to assign values to variables. They offer shorthand notations for performing arithmetic operations and updating variable values in a single step. These operators are fundamental in most programming languages and help streamline code while improving readability.

- Sequence
- A sequence in programming refers to an ordered set of instructions or tasks. In common parlance, one may also use the term “algorithm” which can be defined as an ordered sequence of steps to achieve a particular task. The order is key here.

- Selection and Condition
- Conditional statements help a program make decisions. They check whether a condition is true or false and execute different blocks of code based on the result. This allows programs to behave differently in different situation

Coding Constructs
- FOR Loops
- A for loop is used for iterating over a sequence this is less like the for keyword in other programming languages, and works more like an iterator method as found in other object-orientated programming languages. With the for loop we can execute a set of statements, once for each item in a list, tuple, set etc.
- fruits = ["apple", "banana", "cherry"] for x in fruits: print(x)

- IF Statements
- IF statements can be used to check for a variable to see if it has done something for example if variable is equal to something and the variable is actually equal to that it will output what the code says.
- fruits = true If fruits is equal to true then output good else output bad
