  1. Criteria

  2. Game Ideas

    • combat system
      • The system allows for a new gameplay mechanic where the player can attack and interact with enemies. this allows for a more enjoyable game and adds a challenge to gameplay.
        • In my game I wish to implement a combat system. In it, the player will be able to choose between a sword attack, spell and block. The same abilites are given to the enemy allowing for an intense battle.
    • tools and shops
      • Tools and shops can introduce a progression based system. By intoducing tools it can work well with a combat system giving incentive to make the right decision to make progress on the game. it also adds challenges and important decisons to enhance user experience
        • An itteration of this can be, a tool system, differenct swords change the amount of damage you do, depending on the weapon the fight could be easy or hard. This means if you don't upgrade you could loose as the enemies get stronger.
          • The tools could be variable that is checked in a fight to determine the damage the player dose to the enemy.
    • bosses
      • Bosses could be a unique adition to the combat sysstem. unlike a basic enemy bosses could have different mechanics, requirements and possibly puzzles to actually beat it rather than just hitting it. This could make the fights more interesting and less repetitive.
        • An implomention could be a boss where you need to do a puzzle rather than hit it with the sword. It could be a code that you need to find by doing different tasks in the fight.
    • Choice influence
      • The choices the player choses could effect the next event. such as if there was a energy bar. it is hidden from the player but if he or she uses too much energy the continued event could be blocked or something else could happen entirely. This would allow for more cautious and calculative feel for the game creating challenges influenced just by decission.
        • In my game i could imploment a luck system. by not stealing or doing crimes the luck could go up influencing pricing changes in a shop and the way other characters interact with the player.
  3. Code constructs

  4. Algorithm constructs

    • Sequence
      • The order the code is executed. It goes from top to bottom and indents make the sequence apart of a commands like "if" and "while". This allows for codes to perform sequences differently to perform tasks. The order is very important because later instructions may depend on the results of earlier ones. Sequences are used for tasks such as calculating damage, updating player health and displaying information.
        • for example:
    • Selection and Condition
      • Selection and condition allows programs to make dessicions based on whether a condition is true or false. In python selection is implemented using. "if, Elif and else" statements A condition is determined with operators such as "==, >= and !=". these tell the program how to respond depending on the circumstances such as checking a players health and determining whether they are defeated.
