Computational Thinking
Abstractly
- Abstraction is required to enable complex procedures or events to be modelled
- The user does not need to know how it's done. therefore being abstract is hiding details from the user making it more accessible and appear more simple.
- Computer models cannot account for every single element of an event as this would make it extremely complex and time consuming.
Procedurally
- Algorithm
- list
- A set of steps to do a job
- Start state, an end state that we want to reach, and a set of steps in between made up of operations
- Algorithm
Logically
- Identify the points in a solution where a decision has to be taken
- Determine the logical conditions that affect the outcome of a decision
- Determine how decisions affect flow through a program
