When making a moral decision things that influence us are our families, friends, teachers, school, parents, home, church, priests, headmasters, peers, social media and the wider community.
An example of an moral decision is when passing a homeless person whether to give them money knowing that they could spend it on alcohol or they actually need it for food or shelter.
This image represents some thoughts that may run through your mind when making a moral decision.
Someone who has absolute morality would believe that there is one right answer to every decision you make, for example, they would say after Jesus' commandment 'do not kill' that that means you should never kill a thing in your life, however, a relative moral person believes that there could be multiple paths you could take when there is a decision to be made. For example they would say to Jesus' commandment 'do not kill' that you have to see what the situation is so if a dog was in a lot of pain then you could let it suffer or let the vet kill it (put it down).
A moral decision is a choice based on a person's ethics, manners, character and what they believe is proper behaviour.
A moral decision could be a choice you make every single day or a big choice that you make once in your life it can vary importance.
A moral decision is something that some people do not like to make they may ask their peers or family for advice when Jesus was due to be killed Pontius Pilate tried to avoid making the decision by asking the public.
