Relative Frequency

  1. The probability of an event can be found by carrying out many trials and calculating the relative frequency or experimental probability

  2. To calculate the relative frequency of an event - divide the number of times the event occurred during the experiment by the total number of trials done in the experiment

  3. The higher the number of trials carried out, the nearer the experimental probability will be to the true probablility

  4. REMEMBER - If you are asked who has the best set of results, always say the person with the most trials
