1. 1. Electric circuit

   • Is a path way for the flow of electrons
     • Electric current: continuous flow of electrons
   • Parts:
     • Generator
     • Loads
     • Switching devices
   • Diagram & Symbols
     • We use different system of symbol to simplify the visual representation of electric and electronic circuits

2. 2. Electrical quantities

   • Voltage or potential difference
     • The amount of energy that a generator can transfer to electrons depends of it voltage (V)
     • This is measured in volts (v). To measure voltage, we can use a voltmeter
     • Voltmeter must be connected in parallel
   • Meauring electric current
     • Is the charge of number of electrons I = Q/t
     • Is measured in amperes or amps (A). We can use ammeter to measure electric current
     • Ammeter must be connected in series
   • Electrical resistance: Ohm's law
     • R = V/I
     • The ohm is the unit of resistance
   • Electrical Energy and Power
     • E. energy: E = V x I x t. Is measured in joules
     • E. power P = V x I. Is measured in Kw/h
