Electrons and atoms

Bohr was the one that did the best modification.

A quantum of energy is the amount of energy required to move an electron of level.

This model detected that electrons move around circles.

The nucleus (center) of the atom contains the protons (positively charged) and the neutrons (no charge). The outermost regions of the atom are called electron shells and contain the electrons (negatively charged). Atoms have different properties based on the arrangement and number of their basic particles.

Atomic Orbitals: 1 s orbital, 3 p orbitals, 5 d orbitals. Four of the five d orbitals have the same shape but different orientations in space.

1st sublevel: 2 electrons

2nd sublevel: 8 electrons

3rd: 18 electrons

4th: 32 electrons

N always equals the number of subleves within the principal energy level

The number of orbitals in a principal energy level is equal to n2.

A maximum of two electrons can occupy an orbital.

Therefore the maximum number of electrons can have is
