Suggestopedia is a specific set of learning recommondations derived from suggestology. ıt was developed by georgia lazanov. the most conspicious characteristic of suggestopedia are the decoration, furniture, arrengement of the classroom, the use of the music, and authoritative behaviour of the teacher . music is an especially element of suugestopedia.

ın the theory of language, lazanov does not articulate the theory og language. he emphasizes the importance of the experiencing lange material in whole meaningful texts communication. he refers to the language to be learned as e material. he emphasizes the centrality of the memorization of vocabulary and lexical translation. he recommends the use of stories with emotional content.

ın the theory of learning , there are some principal theoretical components through which desuggestion and suggestion operate and that set up access to reserves , authority, infantiization , double planedness , ıntonation , rhytm and concert pseudo passiveness.

ın objectives , the main aim of teaching is not memorization but the understanding and creative solutions of problems, however , memorization of vocabulary pairs is an important goal of suggestopedia. the syllabus , suggestoepdia course last 30 days ,include 10 units. classes are held 4 hours a day ,6 days a week . unit is organized aroung three days.

types of learning and teaching acitivities include imitation question and answer role play and listening activities.

the teacher's role , teacher should create situation in which learners are most suggestible and the present linguistic materials in a way most likely o encourage positive reception and retention by learners . teacher shoul maintain a modest enhusiasim.

students volunteer for a suggestopedic course , learners must not try to figure out manipulate or study the material presented but must maintain a pseudo passive state.

the role of instructional materials. materials consist of direct materials and indirect materials. direct materials are text and tape, indirect materials are classroom fixtures and music

procedure includes three distinct parts of four hour class, first one is oral review of the material previously learned , secon one is a new material is presented and diccussed, third one is concert session , this is the hearth of the the method.
