Explain the motion of a sky diver as she steps out of a plane until terminal velocity?

weigth acting downwards is the only force so you accelerate down

air resistance increases acting upwards

so acceleration decrease untill the air resistance is equal to the weight

the resultant force is 0

so you stop accelerating

this is known as terminal velocity
