Macbeth

Macbeth is presented as brave and ambitious throughout the play. We learn that Lady Macbeth has a lot of power over Macbeth , this is shown when Macbeth does not want to do the murder but is later persuaded by being called a cat ;this damages Macbeths ego and feels he has to prove his masculinity this changes the audiences perception of Macbeth being brave like a lion instead he is now a cat this implies that Macbeth is no longer strong but would be if he committed the murder.

After Macbeth visits the witches Macbeth shares the news with Lady Macbeth from this point the relationship changes ,Lady Macbeth wants Macbeth to be king she convinces him to kill Duncan Lady Macbeth uses her tactics to persuade him. She uses emotional blackmail by calling him a coward.

This challenges the modern stereotypes of a loving mother she uses this tactic to prove her love for him and how far she would go.
