What you need to cover in writing lessons

Before planning a writing lesson, you need to make sure you know what topics you want to cover within the lesson.

Some topics or sub-skills to teach students to improve their writing skills: punctuation, spelling, writing for different audiences, capital letters, lower case and joined up writing, formal vs informal language, handwriting, paragraphing, note-taking, layouts (for a formal letter for ex)…
