How likely an event is to occur, or how likely it is that a the proposition is true.
Probability that is determined on the basis of the results of an experiment repeated many times.
An example would be to flip a coin 40 times and record whether you get a head or a tail.
The probability is determined on the basis of reasoning.
For instance, since a flipped coin has two sides and each side is equally likely to land up, the theoretical probability of landing heads (or tails) is exactly 1 out of 2.
Card Games: You have less probabilities to win with some cards.
Getting dressed: If you have many clothes color black and you want to grab something blue with your eyes closed, you have more probability to grab something black.
