EXPRESSING PURPOSE

The following pattern is used when you want to say that you are going somewhere, to do something or going to a place for something.

place に (or へ ) activity に 行きます

Examples:

Let's go to the library to borrow (かります)a book

としょかん へ 本 を かり に いきましょう

I want to go to the beach to swim next week

わたし は 来週 うみ へ およぎ に 行きたいです
