October 12th Have you ever heard of people stealing an author's work and calling it their own? Think about this for a while, perhaps someone changes up the artwork a bit and uses an editing program to make it look different slightly and then tries selling it. Think about the moral and legal consequences of using editing programs or different technology to reproduce others work and distribute these images. Write down here what you think.~Many enjoy interpreting photos to their own preference. Explain why people justifying their own interpretation of photos and why they prefer certain ones above others is alright. ~Manipulate and justify selection of visual elements and principles of art and design in order to: alter the meaning or effect of images reflect cultural and stylistic influences achieve a specific emotional response Apples in a line. (Change it up a bit à take one apple and move it slightly to the left or right) Balls or something in a triangle (use the Olympics idea with balls instead switch things around make it look creative) One item that stands out in colour to all other things surrounding it Different textures – water, grass, leaves, dirt etc. Or, here are some other ideas: (you can look at my flickr in "galleries" as I have put together some ideas for you to shoot. You don't have to do all of them. Composition: How you compose the photograph – compose a photograph with fall items Proportion: When organising fruit say, for a photograph, try two different photographs one with the odd number of each fruit and the other with an unproportional amount of fruit. - The ratio of one element to another Emphasis: Organise whatever you like with one item standing out more than the others. - An item standing out more than others in colour. Variety: Photograph different varieties of leaves Movement: Either a landscape photo with the water rippling blurred so it looks smooth or one where you can see the splash of a rock falling into it. Here’s a refresher from last week, these are main principles in art and design, when applying it to a picture, it helps it become composed well also. Here are some of the websites I gave you to look at earlier as a refresher of other ways to describe these principles. https://www.goshen.edu/art/ed/Compose.htm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_design_elements_and_principles http://www.ursyn.com/Orchestra/pages/Toby.html Describe the development of the camera over the past several years, predicting what you think they may improve next in the future.
