Skill aquisistion

Environment:

Open skill = Affected by unstable envrionment, Externally paced, and very often require fat rapid movements.

e.g. Rugby Tackle

Closed skill = Not affected by the environment, stable fixed environment and self paced movements

e.g. Diving

Pacing:

Self - paced = Perfomer conrtols the rate at which the activity is carried out

e.g. Gymnastics routine

Externally paced = Actions is determined by the environment

e.g. Start of 100m race

Muscular movement:

Fine motor = Involve small muscular movements (speed, efficiency and accuracy)

e.g. Shooting

Gross motor = Large muscle movements (strength, endurance and power)

e.g. Throwing a javelin

Organisation:

High organisation = Sub routines are difficult to identify

e.g. trampoling

Low organisation =
