Energy Transfer-Conduction
Content of the notes (1)
Page 1
Thermal conduction occurs when heat energy transfers from the hot end of an object (e.g. metal rod) to the cold end, as the particles gain energy and transfer it to its neighbouring particles.
The energetic particles vibrate more and bump into neighbouring particles. When they do this, they transfer energy.
A vacuum ( a volume with no particles)
