Speed, Distance-Time & Velocity-Time graphs and Acceleration.

Speed:

average speed = distance travelled /time taken

This equation may also be rearranged to form:

distance travelled = speed x time taken

time taken = distance travelled / speed

Unit - m/s, km/h.

Speed is a scalar quantity, so you do not need to know about the direction.
