Physics P1.1 - Visible Light and the Solar System

Ideas about the Solar System were made by different civilizations. Here are the three main ones:

-Ptolemy (c90 - 168AD) : Greek astronomer, Ptolemy, believed that the Earth was the centre of the universe and he created a geocentric model.

-Copernicus (1473-1543): Was a astronomer that formulated the sun was the centre of the universe rather than the Earth.

-Galileo (1564 - 1642): Was an astronomer that agreed with Copernicus and showed proof through observations of Jupiter's moons that Earth was not the centre. Much to the dismay of the Catholic Church which had thought this was blasphemy.
