The Liberal Reforms
Why did Britain need the reforms?
Britain needed the reforms as much of the population were poor. With no benefit system the most help that was available was in the workhouses. Workhouses provided food and shelter in return for hard labor. There aim was to make the conditions so horrible the poor would want to escape
