PHYSICS TOPIC 1
CP1a Vectors and Scalars
1.1. Weight is a force acting on a object due to gravity (the pull of the gravitational force on the object). This creates a gravitational field on the earth. Mass is just the amount of "stuff" in the object. This has the same value anywhere in the universe.
1.2. A vector quantitie has magnitude and direction, howveer a scalar just has speed.
CP1b Distance/time graphs
1.6. The formula relating speed, distance and time is speed= distance/time.
1.7. The formula relating acceleration, velocity and time is acceleration= (final velocity-initial velocity) /time
1.8. The typical speed for the following are:
Walking- 1.4 M/s
Running- 3M/s
Cycling
