Ea. lung has smaller compartments lobules

Cardiac notch on medial side of left lung accommodates left facing apex of heart

Hilum- medial surface of ea lung, vessels & bronchi enter/exit

Pleural cavity- potential space enclosing each lung

Parietal pleura outer wall of pleural cavity

Visceral pleura inner wall of pleural cavity

mediastinum separates pleural cavities
