     • most people in richer countries already live in urban areas
       • 80% of UK live in urban areas
   • Rural-Urban Migration
     • Moving from the countryside into a city
     • Happens in both poor and richer countries
       • For different reasons
         • Reasons
           • Poorer Countries
             • Shortage of services in rural areas (Schools, Hospitals, Power and water)
             • they BELIEVE the standard of living is better in urban areas (but this is often not the case)
             • There are more jobs in urban areas because of better infrastructure and a larger workforce
           • Richer Countries
