How the Labour party became the second most popular party.
Lloyd-George had fallen and his liberal party split, Britain became a two party system..but instead of liberals it was the Labour party and the conservative.
under the leadership of Ramsey MacDonald labour actually got into power in 1923-24 and ahgain in 1929.
problems facing the 1st labour government.
The first Labour government was a MINORITY and so this meant that they relied on other parties so that they could pass through laws
