Chapter 1: Introduction to Motor Learning and Performance

Samuel Castillo Motor Learning Bachelors English 10 cards

Cards in this deck (10)

  1. 1Motor ProgramingMotor program say the brain sends signal every time to move arm and then the arm moves
  2. 2Dynamical SystemsDynamical system says the arm needs to move and therefore it unfolds without the brain having to send a signal every time
  3. 3Skills involve achieving some well-defined environmental goal in these ways1. Maximizing the certainty of goal achievement
    2. Minimizing the physical and mental energy costs of performance
    3. Minimizing the time used
  4. 4Three elements are critical to almost any skill1. Perceiving the relevant environmental features
