About grammar overview quizzes
GoConqr OriginalGrammar Overview quizzes
These quizzes give you different ways to practise English grammar. You can focus on a topic with Subject Verb Agreement, Relative Clauses or Adjectives and Adverbs. Other quizzes cover pronouns, possessive forms and gap filling.
For a focused starting point, try Subject Verb Agreement. It includes an explanation alongside a question about choosing a verb for a quantity. If you want a broader mix, English proficiency test includes questions on everyday sentence forms.
Plan your revision
Choose a quiz on a topic you want to practise, then note the questions you found difficult. Return to those forms before trying another quiz on a related topic. Teachers can also select a focused quiz for a revision task.
When you want to review a topic in a different format, switch to a mind map or flashcards on the Grammar Overview unit page. Then come back to a quiz to practise the forms again. Pick a quiz and see which questions you want to revisit.
Frequently asked questions
Which quiz should I start with?
Start with Subject Verb Agreement if you want to work on a single topic. It includes a question about choosing verbs for quantities, with an explanation. For a broader set of sentence questions, try English proficiency test, which covers forms used in everyday statements and questions.
Are these quizzes free to use?
Yes. Every quiz listed here is free to open and take, and you do not need an account. The quizzes were made by GoConqr users. A free account also lets you save quiz scores and make your own quizzes, mind maps, flashcards and notes.
Are there quizzes for English exams?
Yes. The list includes FCE Practice Quiz - B2 and TOEFL Practice. The FCE quiz includes gap-fill questions, so it gives you sentences to complete as part of your practice. You can look through the questions in either quiz to see which topics you want to revisit.
