1. RAM (Random access memory)and ROM(Read only memory)

   • Volatile is computer memory that requires power to keep the stored information,when power
   • Non-volatile does not need power to keep information and when power is lost is kept
   • ROM is where BIOS is .BIOS (Basic Input Output System) is a firmware on a computers motherboard.It starts up when a computer is turned on.Without BIOS a computer wouldnt load up
   • RAM is volatile , ROM is non volatile
     • RAM is located in the cpu.It is volatile.The more the amount of RAM the faster the computer
   • RAM is very expensive

2. Virtual memory is a type of memory located in the hard drive

   • It is used the ram and is a temporary storage
   • It is a secondary type of storage is is very big
   • Disk thrashing is when a computer's virtual memory is constantly exchanging data

3. Flash memory

   • Non volatile that can be electrically erased
   • Portable,mainly small

4. Cache

   • Measured in hertz
   • The fastest memory
   • located in the cpu
   • very easy to access but is very small
