ALGORITHM SEARCHES
LINEAR SEARCH
- Computer starts at the top and checks every element until the search term is found.
- Simple algorithm.
- Slow on large lists.
- Can be used on any list.
BINARY SEARCH
- Check the middle value of the list, the depending on whether it's higher or lower than the search value, it eliminates half and tries again.
- Very fast on large lists.
- Only works if the data has been sorted.
