1. The Nuclues

   • Middle of the atom.
   • Contains protons and neutrons.
   • Has an overall positive charge.
   • The whole mass is concentrated in the nucleus.

2. The Electrons

   • They move around the nucleus.
   • They have a negative charge.
   • Have no mass.
   • They occupy shells.

3. Charge

   • Neutral atoms have no charge.
   • Number of protons equals the number of electrons
   • The charge on the electrons is the same as the charge on the protons.
