1. Processing

   • CPU
     • The CPU works by getting the information, then working out what it means then sending it somewhere to be shown.
   • Motherboard
     • The Motherboard works by getting the information, then working out what it means, then sending it to the hard drvie to be shown.
   • Sound Card
     • A sound Cars works by converting digital data into analogue sound waves that you can hear.

2. Output

   • Monitor
     • The computer send information to the device to be shown/heard.
   • Speakers
   • Printer

   • Laser Cutter
   • 3D Printer
     • The computer sends the information to the device to be printed/cut.

3. Storage

   • Hard Drive
     • The Hard Drive works by storing the informtion inside the computer for safer storage.
   • Cloud
     • The device works by the computer sending information to the cloud to be stored.
   • Memory Stick
   • SD Card
     • The device works by sending information directly to a storage device instead of sending somewhere to be stored.
   • CD/DVD
     • The CD/DVD works by storing the information on a disc to be played/watched.
   • Dropbox

4. Input

   • Keyboard
     • The keyboard works by sending a binary code to the CPU to process, then it shows the letter on the monitor.
   • Mouse
     • A mouse works by sending the co-ordinates of where the mouse is to the processor to be shown on the screen as a cursor.
   • Webcam
     • A webcam works by picking up the information on the webcam then sending it to the processor to be sent to another computer.
   • Microphone
     • A microphone works by picking up the audio, then sending to the processor to process then it is played through speakers/headphones.
   • Controller
     • A controller works by pressing a button on the controller then it sends a binary code to the console to show the command on the screen.
   • TV Remote
     • The TV Remote works by sending a radio wave to the Tv Box to be processed and then shown on the TV.
   • Both
     • Tablet
     • Smartphone
       • Tablets and Smartphones work by you putting in the information then it is showed on the screen using graphics.
     • Calculator
       • You input the calculation then it processes it then shows the answer on the screen.
     • PS4
     • Xbox One
       • You input information through the controller into the console and then it processes it and shows it on the screen using graphics.
     • Ticket machine
       • Ticket machines work by you putting in the money or card then it scans the money/card, if you have a card then it scans the card then you have to type in your pin, then the information is shown on the screen using graphics
     • Bar Code Scanner
       • You scan the code and then it processes the code then shows how much the item is on the screen using graphics.
     • Credit Card Scanner
       • It scans the card then you have to type in your pin, it then processes the pin and either lets you use the card or doesn't, then it shows the amount of money on the screen using graphics.
